´Anas bin Malik narrated that a man among his companions was dying so he said- meaning a man said to him:` "Glad tidings of Paradise." To which the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: "You do not know. Perhaps he spoke of what did not concern him or he was greedy with that which would not decrease him."

Commentary:
Note:
(Imam Tirmidhi has declared the hadith to be ghareeb (uncommon/isolated), and the same is found in Tuhfat al-Ashraf. Likewise, Tirmidhi has written that Al-A‘mash did not hear from Anas (Tuhfat al-Ashraf). However, Mundhiri says that regarding this hadith, Imam Tirmidhi stated: “Hadith Hasan Sahih,” and Mundhiri himself said that the narrators in the chain are trustworthy (thiqaat). Based on other routes and supporting narrations (shawahid), the hadith is authentic (sahih). See: Sahih al-Targhib 2882, 2883, and refer to al-Albani’s review 511.)
