حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْكِنْدِيُّ الْكُوفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ حُبَابٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا مَشَتْ أُمَّتِي الْمُطَيْطِيَاءِ وَخَدَمَهَا أَبْنَاءُ الْمُلُوكِ أَبْنَاءُ فَارِسَ وَالرُّومِ سُلِّطَ شِرَارُهَا عَلَى خِيَارِهَا " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ ، وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ .
´It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Dinar, that Ibn 'Umar said:` "The Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said: 'When my Ummah walks in a proud march, and its servants are the children of kings, children of Persians and Romans, the evilest of them will be set over the best of them"
حَدَّثَنَا بِذَلِكَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل الْوَاسِطِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، نَحْوَهُ ، وَلَا يُعْرَفُ لِحَدِيثِ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَصْلٌ ، إِنَّمَا الْمَعْرُوفُ حَدِيثُ مُوسَى بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ ، وَقَدْ رَوَى مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ مُرْسَلًا ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ .
A similar hadith is also narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) through this chain. The hadith of Abu Muawiyah, whose chain is as follows «عن يحيى بن سعيد عن عبد الله بن دينار عن ابن عمر عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم», has no basis; the hadith (narration) of Musa bin Ubaidah is the well-known one.
2- Malik bin Anas narrated this hadith from Yahya bin Saeed through a mursal chain and did not mention the intermediary «عن عبد الله بن دينار عن ابن عمر» in its chain.
