Hadith Takhrij«صحیح مسلم/الفتن 18 (2911) ( تحفة الأشراف : 14267) ، و مسند احمد (2/329) (صحیح)»
'A'isha, the wife of the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) , said: We went out with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) during the year of the Farewell Pilgrimage. There were some amongst us who had put on Ihram for 'Umrah and there were some who had put on Ihram for Hajj. (We proceeded on till) we came to Makkah. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: He who put on Ihram for 'Umrah but did not bring the sacrificial animal with him should put it off and he who put on Ihram for 'Umrah and he who had brought the sacrificial animal with him should not put it off until he had slaughtered the animal; and he who put on lhram for Hajj should complete it. A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) said: I was in the monthly period, and I remained in this state till the day of 'Arafa, and I had entered into the state of Ihram for 'Umrah. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) thus commanded me to undo my hair and comb them (again) and enter into the state of Ihram for Hajj, and abandon (the rites of 'Umrah). She ('A'isha) said: I did so, and when I had completed my Pilgrimage, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent with me 'Abdul Rabman bin Abu Bakr (RA) and commanded me to (resume the rites of) 'Umrah at Tan'im the place where (I abandoned) 'Umrah and put on Ihram for Hajj (before completing 'Umrah).

Hadith Commentary:Benefits and Issues: The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) commanded the completion of Hajj at a time when he had not yet given the order to those who did not have sacrificial animals (hady) to terminate their Hajj and perform ‘Umrah instead. However, when he (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) reached Makkah and instructed all those who did not have sacrificial animals to exit the state of ihram, and ‘A’ishah (radi Allahu anha) began menstruating at the place of Sarif before reaching Makkah, she was therefore unable to perform the circumambulation (tawaf) of the House of Allah. And without the tawaf of the House of Allah, it is not permissible to perform the sa‘i between Safa and Marwah. For this reason, she could not perform ‘Umrah, and by intending Hajj along with ‘Umrah, she made it into qiran (combining Hajj and ‘Umrah with a single ihram), as will be clarified further ahead.
