Brief Explanation
1؎: By "two different religions and faiths," some people have taken it to mean disbelief (kufr) and Islam, while others have kept it general. In such a case, a Christian will not inherit from a Jew, nor a Jew from a Christian. The first opinion is more correct, because all the communities of disbelief (kufr) are considered as one community «ملة واحدة».

Note: (In the chain of narration, Muhammad ibn Abi Layla is a weak narrator, but due to supporting evidences, this hadith is considered sahih li ghayrihi [authentic due to corroborating chains].)
