´Abu Ad-Darda narrated that the Messenger of Allah said:` "Whoever was given his share of gentleness, then he has been given a share of good. And whoever has been prevented from his share of gentleness, then he has been prevented from his share of good."

1؎ : It is understood from this that gentle conduct, kindness, and forbearance are the fundamental means for attaining every good in this world and the Hereafter. Thus, the aspect of goodness in a person will be dominant to the extent that the aspect of forbearance (rifq) and gentleness is dominant in him, and whoever is deprived of this quality will be devoid of goodness.
