Hadith Takhrij«
Brief Explanation
1؎ : If the pronoun in «جدہ» refers to «ایوب», then their grandfather «عمرو بن سعید الأشرق» is not a Companion (Sahabi). And if the pronoun in «جدہ» refers to «موسیٰ», then their grandfather «سعید بن العاص» is a very young Companion (Sahabi); his hearing (sama‘) from the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) is not established. In that case, this narration is considered mursal sahabi (a narration from a Companion who did not directly hear from the Prophet, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam).
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Dr. Abdur Rahman Freywai
Explanation: 1: If the pronoun "his grandmother" refers to "Ayyub," then his grandfather "Amr ibn Sa‘id al-Ashraq" is not a Companion (Sahabi). And if the pronoun "his grandmother" refers to "Musa," then his grandfather "Sa‘id ibn al-‘As" is a very junior Companion, He did not hear (hadith) directly from the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), Thus, this narration becomes a mursal (interrupted) narration from a Companion.
Note: (In the chain, "‘Amir ibn Salih" is weak in memory, and "Musa ibn ‘Amr" is of unknown status [majhul al-hal].)
