باب مَا جَاءَ فِي أَكْلِ الْجَرَادِChapter: ….
Hadith 1822
حَدَّثَنَا بِذَلِكَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ بِهَذَا ، قَالَ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، وَجَابِرٍ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَأَبُو يَعْفُورٍ اسْمُهُ وَاقِدٌ وَيُقَالُ : وَقْدَانُ أَيْضًا وَأَبُو يَعْفُورٍ الْآخَرُ اسْمُهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ نِسْطَاسَ .
`With this chain as well, a similar hadith is narrated from Ibn Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him).` © Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- This hadith is Hasan Sahih (good and authentic),
2- Abu Ya’fur’s name is Waqid, he is also called Waqdan. There is another Abu Ya’fur, whose name is Abdur Rahman bin Ubaid bin Nistas,
3- In this chapter, hadiths have also been narrated from Ibn Umar and Jabir (may Allah be pleased with them).

حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، وَالْمُؤَمَّلُ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى، قَالَ : " غَزَوْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَبْعَ غَزَوَاتٍ نَأْكُلُ الْجَرَادَ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَرَوَى شُعْبَةُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ ، عَنْ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى، قَالَ : " غَزَوْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَزَوَاتٍ نَأْكُلُ الْجَرَادَ " .
Ibn Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) says: We participated in seven battles with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and ate locusts. Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- Shu’bah has also narrated it from Abu Ya’fur, from Ibn Abi Awfa, who said: I participated in several battles with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and ate locusts.
