باب مَا جَاءَ فِي الْحَرِيرِ وَالذَّهَبِChapter: ….
Hadith 1721
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ غَفَلَةَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ، أَنَّهُ خَطَبَ بِالْجَابِيَةِ ، فَقَالَ : " نَهَى نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْحَرِيرِ ، إِلَّا مَوْضِعَ أُصْبُعَيْنِ ، أَوْ ثَلَاثٍ ، أَوْ أَرْبَعٍ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
Suwaid bin Ghaflah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that `Umar delivered a sermon at the place of Jabiyah and said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade (the use of) silk except for (an amount) equal to two, or three, or four fingers. 1
