Hadith 1668

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ , وغير واحد ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا يَجِدُ الشَّهِيدُ مِنْ مَسِّ الْقَتْلِ ، إِلَّا كَمَا يَجِدُ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ مَسِّ الْقَرْصَةِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ .
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The martyr feels no more pain from being killed than one of you feels from a pinch." © Imam Tirmidhi says:
This hadith is hasan sahih ghareeb.

The aforementioned narration has been declared weak in its chain of transmission by our esteemed researcher, whereas other scholars have graded it as hasan (good).
Furthermore, the researchers of (al-Mawsu‘ah al-Hadithiyyah) have declared its chain to be strong.

In any case, this too is a favor from Allah upon the martyr, that the process of the soul leaving the body is made easy for him, and this pain does not become unbearable for him.
