It is narrated from Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If I remain alive, then, insha’Allah, I will expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula."
Hadith Referenceسنن ترمذي / كتاب السير عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم / 1606
1؎: The Arabian Peninsula is that region which is surrounded by the Indian Ocean, the Red Sea, the Mediterranean Sea, and the rivers Tigris and Euphrates; or, in terms of length, it is the area from between Aden and Abyan up to the outskirts of Syria, and in terms of width, from Jeddah up to the outskirts of the inhabited regions of Iraq. From this hadith, it is understood that the desire of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was to expel the disbelievers, Jews, and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula. This could not be fully implemented during his lifetime, but Umar radi Allahu anhu, during his caliphate, fulfilled this wish of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that two religions should not remain in Arabia, and exiled the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula.

Jabir reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: He who amongst you is afraid that he may not be able to get up at the end of the night should observe Witr (in the first part) and then sleep, and he who is confident of getting up and praying at night (i. e. Tahajjud prayer) should observe it at the end of it, for the recitation at the end of the night to visited (by angels), and that is excellent.

Hadith Commentary: Benefits and Issues: For the one who wakes up at night, it is better that he performs the witr prayer at the end of the night prayer. However, for the one who does not have the habit of waking up at night, he should perform the witr prayer before going to sleep. If on any day he happens to wake up, he may perform the night prayer, and there is no need to repeat the witr prayer.
