Brief Explanation
1؎: Imam Tirmidhi uses this terminology (“hasan sahih gharib”) when a hadith is well-known through the narration of a particular Companion and it has multiple chains (turūq), or there is only one chain, then another narration comes from the same Companion through a different chain and it is considered gharib (rare/unique). The meaning is that, in wording, it is gharib, but in terms of its chain of transmission, it is hasan sahih (sound and authentic).
