Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We had some wine belonging to an orphan. When Surah al-Ma'idah was revealed (in which the prohibition of wine is mentioned), I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about it and said: It belongs to an orphan. He said: "Pour it away." © Imam Tirmidhi says:
- The hadith of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) is Hasan Sahih,
- And it is also narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) through other chains in the same way,
- In this chapter, there is also a narration from Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him),
- Some people of knowledge hold this view; they consider making vinegar from wine to be disliked, and it is considered disliked because wine remains in a Muslim's house until it becomes vinegar. «واللہ اعلم»,
- Some people have permitted vinegar of wine when it becomes vinegar by itself.
