Hafiz Muhammad Ameen
(1) The right of the real mother can never truly be fulfilled; however, if one has been breastfed by a woman, then by giving her a servant or a slave girl for her service, her right can be fulfilled. Just as she served him in his childhood, in the same way, this servant or slave girl will serve her. This is merely compensation for her service. As for the affection and love that the foster mother showed him, in return for that, he should respect her for his entire life and consider her as his own mother, just as the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said regarding Umm Ayman (radi Allahu anha): [أُمُّ أَیْمَنَ أُمِّیی بَعْدَ أُمِّیی] (Asad al-Ghabah: No. 7371)
(2) A person should not be ungrateful, rather he should remember the one who has done him a favor, and if possible, he should repay that favor. If he is not able to do so, then he should continue to pray for him.
(3) The noble Companions (radi Allahu anhum) were very eager to understand the rulings of the religion.

Benefits and Issues:
Among the Arabs, it was customary to send their children to nearby villages to be nursed for a fee. In addition to the agreed-upon wage, they also liked to give the wet nurse (murdhi‘ah) a gift upon weaning the child. In this hadith, the right of the wet nurse regarding this matter has been mentioned.
