Brief Explanation
1؎: «محلل» refers to the person who marries and has intercourse with a woman divorced with three pronouncements, with the intention of making her lawful (halalah) for her former husband. «محلل لہ» refers to the first husband who gave three divorces, and wishes to remarry his wife through this method. This hadith is evidence that a marriage contracted with the intention of halalah is invalid and forbidden, because a curse is invoked only upon a forbidden act. The majority of scholars hold its prohibition, while the Hanafis consider it permissible.
Explanation & Benefits

Explanation: 1: The muhallil is the person who marries and has intercourse with a thrice-divorced woman with the intention of making her lawful (for her first husband). The muhallal lahu refers to the first husband who issued the three divorces and now wishes to remarry his wife through this method. This hadith is evidence that a marriage contracted with the intention of halalah is invalid and forbidden, because a curse is invoked only upon a forbidden act. The majority of scholars hold its prohibition, while the Hanafis consider it permissible.
Note:
Based on supporting evidences, this hadith is sahih li ghayrihi (authentic due to corroborating chains); otherwise, in Jabir's narration, "Mujahid" is weak, and in the narration of Ali radi Allahu anhu, "Harith al-A'war" is weak.
