Hadith 4008
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَزِيرَةِ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ كُتِبَ إِلَيْهِ فِي أَسِيرٍ تَنَصَّرَ بِأَرْضِ الرُّومِ فَكَتَبَ: «إِنْ جَاءَكَ بِذَلِكَ الثَّبْتُ فَاقْسِمْ مَالَهُ بَيْنَ وَرَثَتِهِ»
Saidna Umar bin Abdul Aziz, may Allah have mercy on him, said: If a prisoner goes to the Romans and becomes a Christian, then if this is proven, distribute his wealth among his heirs.
Hadith 4009
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ فِي رَجُلٍ يُؤْسَرُ فَيَتَنَصَّرُ قَالَ: «إِذَا عُلِمَ ذَلِكَ بَرِئَتْ مِنْهُ امْرَأَتُهُ وَتَعْتَدُّ ثَلَاثَةَ قُرُوءٍ»
Saiduna Umar bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) said: If a captive becomes a Christian, then his wife should be separated from him, and she should observe the waiting period of three menstrual cycles.
Hadith 4010
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، قَالَ: أنا جُوَيْبِرٌ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ مُزَاحِمٍ، قَالَ: «إِذَا ارْتَدَّ الرَّجُلُ بَانَتْ مِنْهُ امْرَأَتُهُ، فَإِنْ أَسْلَمَ فَهُوَ خَاطِبٌ»
Hazrat Dhahhak bin Muzahim, may Allah have mercy on him, said: Whoever becomes an apostate, his wife is separated from him. And if he returns to Islam, the marriage will have to be contracted again.
