Hadith 3967
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ طَارِقَ بْنَ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ: إِنَّ أَهْلَ الْبَصْرَةِ غَزَوْا نَهَاوَنْدَ، فَأَمَدَّهُمْ أَهْلُ الْكُوفَةِ، فَأَرَادَ أَهْلُ الْبَصْرَةِ أَنَّ لَا يَقْسِمُوا لِأَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ، وَكَانَ عَمَّارٌ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي عُطَارِدَ: أَيُّهَا الْأَجْدَعُ، تُرِيدُ أَنْ تُشَارِكَنَا فِي غَنَائِمِنَا؟ قَالَ: خَيْرَ أُذُنَيَّ سَبَبْتَ، كَأَنَّهَا أُصِيبَتْ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَكَتَبَ فِي ذَلِكَ إِلَى عُمَرَ، فَكَتَبَ عُمَرُ أَنَّ «الْغَنِيمَةَ لِمَنْ شَهِدَ الْوَقْعَةَ»
Tariq bin Shihab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The people of Basra attacked Nahawand, and the people of Kufa assisted them. When it was time to distribute the spoils of war, the people of Basra wanted to prevent the people of Kufa (from taking a share). Sayyiduna Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "They have spoken ill of my best thing, as if this wound was inflicted alongside the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." Then it was written to Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), and he replied: "The spoils of war are for those who participated in the battle."
Hadith 3968
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا ابْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، وَرَاشِدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، وَحَبِيبِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، وَحَكِيمِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، وَضَمْرَةَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ، قَالُوا: «إِذَا دَخَلَ عَسْكَرُ الْقَوْمِ وَقَدْ غَنِمُوا، وَإِنْ لَمْ يَشْهَدُوا الْقِتَالَ وَالْفَتْحَ فَلَا شَيْءَ لَهُمْ مِنَ الْغَنِيمَةِ»
Atiyyah bin Qais (may Allah have mercy on him) and others said: "Those people who join the army after the battle and do not participate in the victory, they have no share in the spoils of war."
Hadith 3969
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا ابْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، أَنَّ عَنْبَسَةَ بْنَ سَعِيدٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ، سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْعَاصِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ أَبَانَ بْنَ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْعَاصِ عَلَى سَرِيَّةٍ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ قِبَلَ نَجْدٍ، فَقَدِمَ أَبَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَأَصْحَابُهُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِخَيْبَرَ بَعْدَ أَنْ فَتَحَهَا، وَإِنَّ حُزُمَ خَيْلِهِمْ لَلِيفٌ، فَقَالَ أَبَانُ: اقْسِمْ لَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: لَا تَقْسِمْ لَهُمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، فَقَالَ أَبَانُ: أَنْتَ بِهَا يَا وَبْرُ، تَحَدَّرَ مِنْ رَأْسِ ضَالٍ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «اجْلِسْ يَا أَبَانُ»، وَلَمْ يَقْسِمْ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Aban bin Sa'id bin Al-As towards Najd. He returned after Khaybar. Aban said: "O Messenger of Allah! Allocate for us as well." Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted: "Do not do so." Aban reproached Abu Huraira, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Sit down, Aban!" And he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not allocate a share for him.
Hadith 3970
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا حِبَّانُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: نا مُجَالِدٌ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ: قَدِمَ قَيْسُ بْنُ مَكْشُوحٍ الْمُرَادِيُّ عَلَى سَعْدٍ فِي ثَمَانِينَ، وَكَانَ مَعَهُ ثَلَاثُمِائَةٍ، فَتَعَجَّلَ إِلَى سَعْدٍ فِي ثَمَانِينَ، فَشَهِدَ الْوَقْعَةَ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ بَقِيَّةُ أَصْحَابِهِ بَعْدَ الْوَقْعَةِ، فَسَأَلُوا سَعْدًا أَنْ يُسْهِمَ لَهُمْ، فَأَبَى حَتَّى كَتَبَ إِلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، فَكَتَبَ أَنْ أَسْهِمْ لِمَنْ أَتَاكَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَتَفَقَّأَ قَتْلَى فَارِسَ، وَمَنْ جَاءَ بَعْدَ تَفَقِّي الْقَتْلَى فَلَا شَيْءَ لَهُ "
Shu'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Qais bin Makshuh came to Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) with eighty men, and they participated in the battle before the incident. The rest of the people came later. When they asked for a share, Sa'd refused. Then he wrote to 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), and he wrote back: "Whoever came before the fighting, he has a share; whoever came after, he has nothing."
Hadith 3971
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا مُجَالِدٌ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ كَتَبَ إِلَى سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ أَنْ «أَسْهِمْ، لِمَنْ أَتَاكَ قَبْلَ أَنَّ يَتَفَقَّأَ قَتْلَى فَارِسَ»
Shu'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote to Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him): "Give shares to those who arrived before the fighting."
