Hadith 3818
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّ بُكَيْرًا حَدَّثَهُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ، يَقُولُ: «أَمَّرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ عَلَى جَيْشٍ وَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَحْرِقَ فِي يُبْنَا»
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) appointed Usamah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with them both) as the commander over the army and ordered him to set fire in Yabna.
Hadith 3819
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَطَعَ نَخْلَ بَنِي النَّضِيرِ وَحَرَّقَ، وَلَهَا يَقُولُ حَسَّانُ: ¤ [البحر الوافر] ¤ وَهَانَ عَلَى سُرَاةِ بَنِي لُؤَيٍّ ... حَرِيقٌ بِالْبُوَيْرَةِ مُسْتَطِيرُ ¤ ¤ وَفِي ذَلِكَ نَزَلَتْ: {مَا قَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ لِينَةٍ أَوْ تَرَكْتُمُوهَا قَائِمَةً} [الحشر: 5] الْآيَةَ "
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cut down and burned the palm trees of Banu Nadir, and regarding this the verse of the Qur'an «ما قطعتم من لينة أو تركتموها قائمة» was revealed.
