During the illness of death of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to him. The companions said that we had hoped that Ibn Salam would be martyred. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Martyrs are very few. The one killed, the one who dies due to a building collapse, drowning, burning, abdominal disease, postnatal bleeding, and plague—whoever dies in these ways is also a martyr."
