Hadith 3739
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ بَحِيرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِي كَرِبَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ لِلشَّهِيدِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ خِصَالًا، يُغْفَرُ لَهُ فِي أَوَّلِ دَفْقَةٍ مِنْ دَمِهِ، وَيَرَى مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ، وَيُحَلَّى حُلَّةَ الْإِيمَانِ، وَيُزَوَّجُ مِنَ الْحُورِ الْعِينِ، وَيُجَارُ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، وَيَأْمَنُ مِنَ الْفَزَعِ الْأَكْبَرِ، وَيُوضَعُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ تَاجُ الْوَقَارِ، الْيَاقُوتَةُ مِنْهُ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا، وَيُزَوَّجُ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَسَبْعِينَ زَوْجَةً مِنَ الْحُورِ الْعِينِ، وَيُشَفَّعُ فِي سَبْعِينَ إِنْسَانًا مِنْ أَقَارِبِهِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Miqdam bin Ma'dikarib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "For the martyr, there are many distinctions with Allah: with the first drop of his blood, his sins are forgiven, and his place in Paradise is shown to him, and he is clothed with the garment of faith, and he is married to wide-eyed maidens (houris), and he is protected from the punishment of the grave, and he is kept safe from the great terror, and a crown of honor is placed on his head, one ruby of which is better than the world and whatever is in it, and he is married to seventy-two houris, and he is given the right of intercession for seventy (70) of his close relatives."
Hadith 3740
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ بَحِيرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stated likewise.
Hadith 3741
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ شَجَرَةَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: قَدْ أَصْبَحَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ نِعْمَةٌ مِنْ بَيْنِ أَصْفَرَ وَأَخْضَرَ وَأَحْمَرَ، وَفِي الْبُيُوتِ مَا فِيهَا، فَإِذَا لَقِيتُمُ الْعَدُوَّ غَدًا فَقُدُمًا قُدُمًا، فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَا تَقَدَّمَ عَبْدٌ خُطْوَةً فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ إِلَّا اطَّلَعَ عَلَيْهِ الْحُورُ الْعِينُ، فَإِنْ تَأَخَّرَ اسْتَتَرْنَ مِنْهُ، فَإِنْ قُتِلَ كَانَتْ أَوَّلُ قَطْرَةٍ تَقْطُرُ مِنْ دَمِهِ كَفَّارَةً لِخَطَايَاهُ، وَتَأْتِيهِ اثْنَتَانِ مِنَ الْحُورِ الْعِينِ مَعَ كُلِّ وَاحِدَةٍ سَبْعُونَ حُلَّةً لَا يُجَاوِزُ بَيْنَ أُصْبُعِهَا، تَنْفُضَانِ عَنْهُ التُّرَابَ، وَتَقُولَانِ: مَرْحَبًا قَدْ آنَ لَكَ، وَيَقُولُ: مَرْحَبًا قَدْ آنَ لَكُمَا "
Sayyiduna Yazid bin Shajarah (may Allah have mercy on him) says: “Allah has showered blessings upon you; around you are yellow, green, and red things, and in your homes are various comforts. When you meet the enemy tomorrow, advance, advance, for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘Whoever takes even a single step forward in the way of Allah, the houris with beautiful eyes look at him. If he retreats, those houris hide themselves. If he is killed, then with the first drop of his blood, his sins are forgiven.’ Then two houris come, each with seventy (70) garments, they dust the earth off him and say: ‘Welcome! Now your time has come.’ He replies: ‘Welcome! Your time has come as well.’”
Hadith 3742
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، قَالَ: «إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ دَارًا لَا يَدْخُلُهَا إِلَّا نَبِيٌّ، أَوْ صِدِّيقٌ، أَوْ شَهِيدٌ، أَوْ إِمَامٌ عَدْلٌ أَوْ مُخَيَّرٌ بَيْنَ الْقَتْلِ وَالْكُفْرِ، فَاخْتَارَ الْقَتْلَ»
Sayyiduna Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) says: "There is a place in Paradise where no one can enter except a prophet, a truthful one, a martyr, a just leader, or one who was given the choice between being killed and disbelief, and he preferred to be killed."
Hadith 3743
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ بَحِيرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ نُعَيْمِ بْنِ هَمَّارٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَجَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: أَيُّ الشُّهَدَاءِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: «الَّذِينَ يُلْقَوْنَ فِي الصَّفِّ وَلَا يَفْتِلُونَ وُجُوهَهُمْ حَتَّى يُقْتَلُوا، أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ يَتَلَبَّطُونَ فِي الْغُرَفِ الْعُلَى مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ يَضْحَكُ إِلَيْهِمْ رَبُّكَ، وَإِذَا ضَحِكَ رَبُّكَ إِلَى عَبْدٍ فِي مَوْطِنٍ فَلَا حِسَابَ عَلَيْهِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Na’eem bin Hammar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: “Who are the most virtuous martyrs?” He replied: “Those who stand firm in the ranks and do not turn their faces until they are killed. These are the people who roam about in the highest ranks of Paradise. Your Lord smiles at them, and when Allah smiles at a servant at any occasion, there will be no reckoning upon him.”
Hadith 3744
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ شَجَرَةَ، قَالَ: كَانَ يَقُصُّ، وَكَانَ يُصَدِّقُ قَوْلُهُ فِعْلَهُ، وَكَانَ يَقُولُ: «السُّيُوفُ مَفَاتِيحُ الْجَنَّةِ» وَكَانَ يَقُولُ: " إِذَا الْتَقَى الصَّفَّانِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، وَأُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ نَزَلْنَ الْحُورُ الْعِينُ فَاطَّلَعْنَ، فَإِذَا أَقْبَلَ الرَّجُلُ قُلْنَ: اللَّهُمَّ ثَبِّتْهُ، اللَّهُمَّ انْصُرْهُ، اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنْهُ، فَإِذَا أَدْبَرَ احْتَجَبْنَ مِنْهُ قُلْنَ: اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ وَإِذَا قُتِلَ غُفِرَ لَهُ بِأَوَّلِ قَطْرَةٍ تَخْرُجُ مِنْ دَمِهِ كُلُّ ذَنْبٍ لَهُ، وَتَنْزِلُ عَلَيْهِ ثِنْتَانِ مِنَ الْحُورِ الْعِينِ تَمْسَحَانِ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ الْغُبَارَ، تَقُولَانِ: قَدْ أَنَى لَكَ، وَيَقُولُ: قَدْ أَنَى لَكُمَا "
Sayyiduna Yazid bin Shajarah, may Allah have mercy on him, used to narrate—and his words were confirmed by his actions—he used to say: "Swords are the keys to Paradise." And he used to say: "When two rows face each other in the way of Allah and the prayer is established, the wide-eyed maidens (Hoor al-‘Ayn) look down from the sky. When a man steps forward, they say: 'O Allah, keep him steadfast. O Allah, help him. O Allah, grant him victory.' And when he retreats, those maidens hide themselves from him and say: 'O Allah, forgive him.' And when he is killed, with the first drop of his blood all his sins are forgiven. Then two maidens descend upon him and wipe the dust from his face and say: 'Now your time has come.' He says: 'Now your time has come as well.'"
Hadith 3745
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ أَبِي حَفْصَةَ، عَنْ حُجْرٍ الْهَجَرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ: فَصَعِقَ مَنْ فِي السَّمَوَاتِ وَمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا مَنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ قَالَ: «الشُّهَدَاءُ ثَنِيَّةُ اللَّهِ حَوْلَ الْعَرْشِ مُتَقَلِّدِينَ لِلسِّيُوفِ»
Sayyiduna Sa'id bin Jubayr (may Allah have mercy on him), in the explanation of Allah Almighty's statement «فصعق من في السماوات ومن في الأرض إلا من شاء الله», says: "The martyrs will be present around Allah's Throne and swords will be hanging from their necks."
Hadith 3746
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا الْعَوَّامُ، عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، فِي قَوْلِهِ {فَفَزِعَ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا مَنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ} [النمل: 87] قَالَ: «هُمُ الشُّهَدَاءُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that regarding the explanation of Allah Almighty’s statement «ففزع من في السماوات ومن في الأرض إلا من شاء الله», he said: “They will be martyrs.”
Hadith 3747
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا خَالِدٌ، عَنِ الْعَوَّامِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي الْهُذَيْلِ، قَالَ: «يَشْفَعُ النَّبِيُّونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، ثُمَّ يَشْفَعُ الشُّهَدَاءُ، فَيَشْفَعُ كُلُّ شَهِيدٍ فِي أَرْبَعِينَ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abi Huzail (may Allah have mercy on him) says: "On the Day of Resurrection, the Prophets will intercede, then the martyrs will intercede, and every martyr will intercede for forty (40) people."
