بَابٌ لَا يَفِرُّ الرَّجُلُ مِنَ الرَّجُلَيْنِ مِنَ الْعَدُوِّ

Hadith 3714
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَوْلُ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ حَرِّضِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَى الْقِتَالِ إِنْ يَكُنْ مِنْكُمْ عِشْرُونَ صَابِرُونَ يَغْلِبُوا مِائَتَيْنِ} كَتَبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ أَنْ لَا يَفِرَّ عَشَرَةٌ مِنْ مِائَةٍ، ثُمَّ خَفَّفَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ ثُمَّ قَالَ: {الْآنَ خَفَّفَ اللَّهُ عَنْكُمْ وَعَلِمَ أَنَّ فِيكُمْ ضَعْفًا} [الأنفال: 66] فَلَا يَنْبَغِي لِمِائَةٍ أَنْ تَفِرَّ مِنْ مِائَتَيْنِ "
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Allah Almighty had promised that twenty patient ones would overcome two hundred, then Allah granted concession and said: «الآن خفف الله عنكم وعلم أن فيكم ضعفا», therefore now it is not appropriate for one hundred Muslims to turn their backs on two hundred.
Hadith 3715
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا سُفْيَانُ، وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: «إِنْ فَرَّ رَجُلٌ مِنْ ثَلَاثَةٍ فَلَمْ يَفِرَّ وَإِنْ فَرَّ مِنَ اثْنَيْنِ فَقَدْ فَرَّ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: If a man flees from three enemies, then it is not considered fleeing, but if he flees from two, then he is one who flees.
