بَابُ مَنِ ارْتَبَطَ فَرَسًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ

Hadith 3611
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، أَنَّ بُكَيْرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ، حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ النَّاسِ، إِنَّ مِنْ خَيْرِ النَّاسِ رَجُلًا مُمْسِكًا بِعِنَانِ فَرَسِهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، وَأُخْبِرُكُمْ بِالَّذِي يَتْلُوهُ رَجُلٌ مُعْتَزِلٌ فِي غَنَمِهِ يُؤَدِّي حَقَّ اللَّهِ فِيهَا، وَأُخْبِرُكُمْ بِشَرِّ النَّاسِ: رَجُلٌ يُسْأَلُ بِاللَّهِ وَلَا يُعْطِي بِهِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not tell you about the best of people? He is the person who holds the reins of his horse in the way of Allah, and the one who is best after him is the person who fulfills Allah's right with his goats, and the worst is the one who asks in the name of Allah and does not give."
Hadith 3612
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «ارْبُطُوا الْخَيْلَ فَمَنْ رَبَطَ فَرَسًا، فَلَهُ جَادٌّ مِائَةٍ وَخَمْسِينَ وَسْقًا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Urwah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Tie up horses; whoever ties up a horse, for him there is a reward of one hundred and fifty wasq."
Hadith 3613
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ بَعْجَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْجُهَنِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " خَيْرُ مَا عَاشَ النَّاسُ لَهُ: رَجُلٌ مُمْسِكٌ بِعِنَانِ فَرَسِهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ كُلَّمَا سَمِعَ هَيْعَةً أَوْ فَزْعَةً طَارَ عَلَى مَتْنِ فَرَسِهِ، فَالْتَمَسَ الْمَوْتَ وَالْقَتْلَ فِي مَظَانِّهِ، أَوْ رَجُلٌ فِي شِعْبٍ مِنْ هَذِهِ الشِّعَابِ أَوْ فِي بَطْنِ وَادٍ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْأَوْدِيَةِ فِي غُنَيْمَةٍ لَهُ يُقِيمُ الصَّلَاةَ، وَيُؤْتِي الزَّكَاةَ، وَيَعْبُدُ اللَّهَ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَهُ الْيَقِينُ، لَيْسَ مِنَ النَّاسِ إِلَّا فِي خَيْرٍ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best life among people is that of a person who holds the reins of his horse in the way of Allah, or who grazes goats, performs prayer, gives zakat, and worships Allah until death comes to him."
Hadith 3614
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارِكِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ نَشِيطٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ جَزْءٍ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ - وَكَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ - قَالَ: دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ رَجُلَانِ، فَنَزَعَ وِسَادَةً كَانَ مُتَّكِئًا عَلَيْهَا، وَأَلْقَاهَا إِلَيْهِمَا، فَقَالَا: إِنَّا لَا نُرِيدُ هَذَا، إِنَّمَا جِئْنَا لِنَسْمَعَ شَيْئًا نَنْتَفِعُ بِهِ , فَقَالَ: «إِنَّهُ مَنْ لَمْ يُكْرِمْ ضَيْفَهُ فَلَيْسَ مِنْ مُحَمَّدٍ وَلَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ، طُوبَى لِمَنْ أَمْسَى مُتَعَلِّقًا بِرَسَنِ فَرَسِهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، أَفْطَرَ عَلَى كِسْرَةٍ وَمَاءٍ بَارِدٍ، وَوَيْلٌ لِلَّوَّاثِينَ الَّذِينَ يَلُوثُونَ مِثْلَ الْبَقَرِ , ارْفَعْ يَا غُلَامُ، ضَعْ يَا غُلَامُ، وَفِي ذَلِكَ يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Harith bin Jaz’ al-Zubaidi, may Allah be pleased with him: “Whoever does not honor his guest is not from Muhammad (peace be upon him) and Ibrahim (peace be upon him). Glad tidings are for the one who holds the reins of his horse in the way of Allah, breaks his fast on bread and water, and destruction is for those who become engrossed in the wealth of the world.”
