بَابُ مَنْ شَابَ شَيْبَةً فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ

Hadith 3595
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ غَزِيَّةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ خَرَجَتْ بِهِ شَيْبَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ كَانَتْ لَهُ نُورًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ» وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْهَى عَنْ نَتْفِ الشَّيْبِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Amr bin Shu'aib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever reaches old age in the way of Allah, it will be a light for him on the Day of Resurrection." And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to forbid plucking out white hairs.
Hadith 3596
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا فَرَجُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي لُقْمَانُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبَسَةَ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لَهُ: حَدِّثْنَا حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتَهُ مَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْسَ فِيهِ انْتِقَاصٌ، وَلَا وَهْمٌ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ وُلِدَ لَهُ ثَلَاثَةٌ مِنَ الْوَلَدِ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ، فَقُبِضُوا، وَلَمْ يَبْلُغُوا الْحِنْثَ، أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ بِفَضْلِ رَحْمَتِهِ إِيَّاهُمُ الْجَنَّةَ، وَمَنْ شَابَ شَيْبَةً فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ كَانَتْ لَهُ نُورًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَمَنْ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فِي سيبلِ اللَّهِ بَلَغَ بِهِ الْعَدُوَّ أَصَابَ أَمْ أَخْطَأَ، كَانَ لَهُ بِعِتْقِ رَقَبَةٍ، وَمَنْ أَعْتَقَ رَقَبَةً مُؤْمِنَةً أَعْتَقَ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ عُضْو مِنْهَا عُضْوًا مِنَ النَّارِ، وَمَنْ أَنْفَقَ زَوْجَيْنِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، فَإِنَّ لِلْجَنَّةِ ثَمَانِيَةَ أَبْوَابٍ يُدْخِلُهُ مِنْ أَيٍّ شَاءَ مِنْهَا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Amr bin Abasah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever has three children die in Islam before reaching puberty, Allah will have mercy on him and admit him to Paradise. And whoever has white hair in the way of Allah, it will be light for him on the Day of Resurrection. And whoever shoots an arrow in the way of Allah, whether it hits or not, will have the reward equal to freeing a slave. And whoever frees a believing slave, Allah will free a limb of his from Hell for every limb of the slave. And whoever spends a pair (of something) in the way of Allah, will enter Paradise through its eight gates.”
Hadith 3597
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَوْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ (1)، عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ السِّمْطِ، قَالَ لِعَمْرِو بْنِ عَبَسَةَ: يَا عَمْرُو، حَدِّثْنَا حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْسَ فِيهِ تَزَيُّدٌ وَلَا نُقْصَانٌ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: « مَنْ شَابَ شَيْبَةً فِي الْإِسْلَامِ فَهِيَ لَهُ نُورٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَمَنْ رَمَى الْعَدُوَّ بِسَهْمٍ فَبَلَغَ سَهْمُهُ أَخْطَأَ أَوْ أَصَابَ، فَعِدْلُ رَقَبَةٍ، وَمَنْ أَعْتَقَ رَقَبَةً مُسْلِمَةً فَهِيَ فِكَاكُهُ مِنَ النَّارِ كُلُّ عُضْوٍ بِعُضْوٍ » .

And whoever frees a believing slave, Allah will save one of his limbs from Hell for every limb of the slave."
Hadith 3598
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَوْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ، قَالَ: " مَنْ شَابَ شَيْبَةً فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ كَانَتْ لَهُ نُورًا، وَمَنْ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَبَلَغَ الْعَدُوَّ كُتِبَ لَهُ بِهِ حَسَنَةٌ، وَحُطَّ عَنْهُ سَيِّئَةٌ، وَمَنْ أَعْتَقَ امْرَأً مُسْلِمًا كَانَ فِكَاكُهُ مِنَ النَّارِ بِكُلِّ عُضْوَيْنِ مِنْهُمَا عُضْوًا مِنْهُ، وَمَنْ قَرَأَ خَمْسَ مِائَةِ آيَةٍ كُتِبَ مِنَ الْقَانِتِينَ، وَمَنْ قَرَأَ أَلْفَ آيَةٍ كُتِبَ لَهُ قِنْطَارٌ، قِيلَ: كَمِ الْقِنْطَارُ قَالَ: أَلْفٌ وَمِائَتَا أُوقِيَّةٍ، وَالْقِنْطَارُ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا، أَوْ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ "
Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) says: "Whoever has white hair in the path of Allah, it will be light for him. And whoever shoots an arrow at the enemy in the path of Allah, he will receive one good deed and one sin will be erased. And whoever frees a Muslim slave, Allah will free one limb for every limb. And whoever recites five hundred verses will be written among the devout. And whoever recites one thousand verses, a qintar will be written for him." It was asked: "How much is a qintar?" He replied: "One thousand two hundred uqiyyah, and a qintar is better than the world and whatever is in it."
