Hadith 3583
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «أَعْظَمُ الْقَوْمِ أَجْرًا خَادِمُهُمْ»
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one with the greatest reward among the people is the one who serves them the most."
Hadith 3584
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا فَرَجُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيُّ الصَّدَقَةِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: «خِدْمَةُ الرَّجُلِ يَخْدُمُ غُلَامُهُ أَصْحَابَهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ» قُلْتُ: يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ فَأَيُّ الصَّدَقَةِ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: «بِنَاءٌ يَضْرِبُهُ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ» قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَأَيُّ الصَّدَقَةِ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: «عَسْبُ فَرَسٍ يَحْمِلُهُ صَاحِبُهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ»
Sayyiduna ‘Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I asked, “O Messenger of Allah! Which charity is the most virtuous?” He replied: “That which you offer in the service of your servant or companions in the way of Allah.” Then he said: “To set up a shaded tent for your companions.” Then he said: “To give a saddle for a horse in the way of Allah.”
Hadith 3585
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ: أنا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلَالٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُقَالُ: " ثَلَاثَةٌ لَا يَعْلَمُ أَحَدٌ مَا فِيهِنَّ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ: صَاحِبُ الْخِدْمَةِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، وَصَاحِبُ الظِّلِّ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، وَصَاحِبُ عَسْبِ الْفَرَسِ "
It was said: "The reward of three things is known to no one: the one who serves in the path of Allah, the one who provides shade in the path of Allah, and the one who keeps a saddle on a horse in the path of Allah."
