Hadith 2781
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، نا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَاهَكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «ثَلَاثٌ جِدُّهُنَّ جِدٌّ، وَهَزْلُهُنَّ جِدٌّ، الطَّلَاقُ، وَالنِّكَاحُ، وَالرَّجْعَةُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are three things in which seriousness is seriousness and joking is also seriousness: divorce, marriage, and taking back (one's wife after divorce)."
Hadith 2782
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، نا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ، قَالَ: " ثَلَاثٌ لَا يُلْعَبُ بِهِنَّ، اللَّعِبُ فِيهِنَّ وَالْجِدُّ سَوَاءٌ: الطَّلَاقُ، وَالنِّكَاحُ، وَالْعِتَاقُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "There are three things in which there is no jest: divorce, marriage, and freeing a slave."
Hadith 2783
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، قَالَ: نا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ، قَالَ: " ثَلَاثٌ لَا يُلْعَبُ فِيهِنَّ: الطَّلَاقُ، وَالْعِتْقُ، وَالنِّكَاحُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "There are three things in which there is no jest: divorce, emancipation from slavery, and marriage."
Hadith 2784
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا خَالِدٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ السَّلْمَانِيِّ، قَالَ: " خَلَّتَانِ اللَّعِبُ فِيهِنَّ وَالْجِدُّ سَوَاءٌ: الطَّلَاقُ، وَالنِّكَاحُ "
Hazrat Ubaidah Salmani (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "There are two things in which jest and seriousness are equal: divorce and marriage."
Hadith 2785
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، قَالَ: نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مَرْوَانَ بْنَ الْحَكَمِ، عَلَى هَذَا الْمِنْبَرِ يَقُولُ: " أَرْبَعٌ لَا رُجُوعَ فِيهَا إِلَّا الْوَفَاءَ: الْعِتَاقُ، وَالطَّلَاقُ، وَالنِّكَاحُ، وَالنَّذْرُ "
Sayyiduna Sa'id bin al-Musayyib (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard Sayyiduna Marwan bin al-Hakam (may Allah be pleased with him) saying on the pulpit: "There are four things in which there is no retraction, only fulfillment is obligatory: freeing a slave, divorce, marriage, and a vow."
Hadith 2786
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، قَالَ: نا حَفْصُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ، قَالَ مُسْلِمُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، قَالَ: قَالَ مَرْوَانُ عَلَى مِنْبَرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَرْبَعٌ لَيْسَ فِيهِنَّ رِدِّيدَى إِلَّا الْوَفَاءَ: الطَّلَاقُ، وَالْعِتَاقُ، وَالنِّكَاحُ، وَالنُّذُورُ "
Sayyiduna Marwan (may Allah be pleased with him) said from the pulpit of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): "There is no retraction in four things except fulfillment: divorce, emancipation, marriage, and vow."
Hadith 2787
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا أَبُو شِهَابٍ، عَنْ حَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ سُحَيْمٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: " أَرْبَعٌ جَائِزَاتٌ إِذَا تُكِلِّمَ بِهِنَّ: الطَّلَاقُ، وَالْعِتَاقُ، وَالنِّكَاحُ، وَالنُّذُورُ، وَأَرْبَعٌ يُمْسُونَ وَاللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ سَاخِطٌ، وَيُصْبِحُونَ وَاللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ غَضْبَانُ: الْمُتَشَبِّهُونَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ بِالنِّسَاءِ، وَالْمُتَشَبِّهَاتُ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ بِالرِّجَالِ، وَمَنْ غَشِيَ بَهِيمَةً، وَمَنْ عَمِلَ بِعَمَلِ قَوْمِ لُوطٍ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'id bin al-Musayyib (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "There are four things that, when spoken about, become effective: divorce, emancipation, marriage, and vow. And there are four types of people upon whom Allah is displeased in the evening and angry with them in the morning: men who imitate women, women who imitate men, those who commit bestiality, and those who commit the act of the people of Lut."
Hadith 2788
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ: نا حَجَّاجٌ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ سُحَيْمٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: " أَرْبَعَةٌ يُمْسِي اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِمْ سَاخِطٌ، وَيُصْبِحُ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَضْبَانُ: الْمُتَشَبِّهُونَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ بِالنِّسَاءِ، وَالْمُتَشَبِّهَاتُ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ بِالرِّجَالِ، وَالَّذِي يَأْتِي بَهِيمَةً، وَالْعَامِلُ بِعَمَلِ قَوْمِ لُوطٍ ". وَقَالَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: أَرْبَعٌ جَائِزَاتٌ عَلَى كُلِّ أَحَدٍ: الْعِتَاقُ، وَالطَّلَاقُ، وَالنُّذُورُ، وَالنِّكَاحُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "There are four types of people upon whom Allah is angry in the evening and in the morning He is wrathful with them: men who imitate women, women who imitate men, those who commit bestiality, and those who commit the act of the people of Lut." And Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "There are four things that are permissible and obligatory for everyone: emancipation, divorce, vow, and marriage."
Hadith 2789
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا أَبُو عَلْقَمَةَ الْفَرْوِيُّ، قَالَ: أنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: دَخَلَ الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَى النَّصْرِيِّ وَهُوَ أَمِيرُ الْمَدِينَةِ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ يَتِيمَكَ هَذَا قَدْ حَلَفَ بِالطَّلَاقِ، وَالْعِتَاقِ قَالَ الْقَاسِمُ: «أَمَّا الطَّلَاقُ فَإِلَيْهِ، وَأَمَّا الْعِتَاقُ، فَإِلَيَّ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Qasim bin Muhammad (may Allah be pleased with him) that he entered upon Nasiri (the governor of Madinah). He said: "Your orphan has sworn an oath of divorce and emancipation." Qasim said: "The matter of divorce is his own, and the matter of emancipation is mine."
Hadith 2790
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا أَبُو عَلْقَمَةَ، قَالَ: نا إِسْحَاقُ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: كَتَبَ عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ: «مَا رَخَّصْتَ فِيهِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ، فَلَا تُرَخِّصْ لِلسُّفَهَاءِ فِي الطَّلَاقِ»
Sayyiduna Umar bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) wrote: "Whatever concession you have given in any matter, do not give concession to fools in divorce."
