Hadith 2181
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، نا هُشَيْمٌ، نا مَنْصُورٌ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ «أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَكْرَهُ الْجَمْعَ بَيْنَ ابْنَةِ الرَّجُلِ وَامْرَأَتِهِ»
It is narrated from Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) that he used to say: "It is disliked for a man to combine his daughter and his wife."
Hadith 2182
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، نا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ «أَنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يَرَى بِذَلِكَ بَأْسًا»
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) that he did not consider there to be any harm in it.
Hadith 2183
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أنا أَيُّوبُ، قَالَ: سُئِلَ الْحَسَنُ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَتَزَوَّجُ امْرَأَةَ الرَّجُلِ وَابْنَتَهُ مِنْ غَيْرِهَا، فَكَرِهَ ذَلِكَ الْحَسَنُ، وَلَمْ يَرَ بِهِ بَأْسًا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ، فَقَالَ: قَدْ فَعَلَ جَبَلَةُ، رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ مِصْرَ،
Ayyub (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) and Muhammad ibn Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) were asked about a man who had a woman as his wife and her daughter from another man in marriage as well. Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) considered it disliked, while Muhammad ibn Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) saw no harm in it and said: "A man named Jabalah from Egypt also did this."
Hadith 2184
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، نا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ، قَالَ: " إِنِّي لَجَالِسٌ، فَسُئِلَ عَنْهَا، فَكَرِهَهَا، فَقَالَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ: يَا أَبَا سَعِيدٍ، أَتَرَى بَيْنَهُمَا شَيْئًا؟ فَنَظَرَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: مَا أَرَى بَيْنَهُمَا شَيْئًا "
Salamah bin Alqamah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that when he was asked about this matter, he considered it disliked. Then some people said: "O Abu Sa'id! Do you see any prohibition between the two?" So he looked and said: "I do not see any prohibition between the two."
Hadith 2185
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، نا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، وَسُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ صَفْوَانَ، «جَمَعَ بَيْنَ امْرَأَةِ رَجُلٍ وَابْنَتِهِ»
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Safwan that he combined a man's wife and his daughter (in marriage).
Hadith 2186
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أنا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ صَفْوَانَ «تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةَ رَجُلٍ مِنْ ثَقِيفٍ وَابْنَتَهُ»
Abdullah bin Safwan married the wife and the daughter of a man from Thaqif.
Hadith 2187
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، نا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ قُثَمَ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ «جَمَعَ بَيْنَ ابْنَةِ عَلِيٍّ وَبَيْنَ امْرَأَتِهِ النَّهْشَلِيَّةِ»
Abdullah bin Ja'far married both the daughter of Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and his (widowed) wife Nahshaliyah.
Hadith 2188
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، نا جَرِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ، عَنْ قُثَمَ مَوْلَى آلِ الْعَبَّاسِ قَالَ: جَمَعَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ بَيْنَ لَيْلَى بِنْتِ مَسْعُودٍ النَّهْشَلِيَّةِ، وَكَانَتِ امْرَأَةَ عَلِيٍّ، وَبَيْنَ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتِ عَلِيٍّ لِفَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَكَانَتَا امْرَأَتَيْهِ
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ja'far married both Sayyida Layla bint Mas'ud Nahshaliyya and Sayyida Umm Kulthum bint Ali (may Allah be pleased with them), who was the daughter of Sayyida Fatima, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), at the same time.
