Ibrahim Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "When a woman buys any part of her husband, she becomes forbidden to him, but if she frees him immediately after buying, then both will remain upon their marriage."

Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "When a woman buys a part of her husband, she becomes forbidden to him and she becomes a completely divorced woman (mutaallaqah bainah), and if she frees him, the same ruling will apply."

Hadith 2061
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا حَجَّاجٌ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، وَعَطَاءٍ، قَالَا: «حَرُمَتْ، فَإِنْ كَانَتْ مِنْ شَأْنِهِ فَلْيَخْطُبْهَا»
Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) and Hazrat Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "She will become unlawful for him, then if she (the woman) is eligible for his marriage, he may marry her again."
