Hadith 2051
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا عُبَيْدَةُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ تَزَوَّجَ بِشَهَادَةِ رَجُلٍ وَامْرَأَةٍ قَالَ: «يُشْهِدُونَ رَجُلًا آخَرَ»
It is narrated from Ibrahim Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) that he said: "If someone has performed a marriage with the testimony of a man and a woman, then appoint another man as a witness."
Hadith 2052
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا حَجَّاجٌ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ «أَنَّهُ أَجَازَ شَهَادَةَ النِّسَاءِ مَعَ الرَّجُلِ فِي النِّكَاحِ»
Hazrat Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) accepted the testimony of women along with one man in marriage.
Hadith 2053
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، وَمُطَرِّفٌ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ «أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُجِيزُ شَهَادَةَ النِّسَاءِ مَعَ الرَّجُلِ فِي النِّكَاحِ وَالطَّلَاقِ»
Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) considered the testimony of women along with one man permissible in both marriage and divorce.
Hadith 2054
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا عُبَيْدَةُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ «أَنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يُجِيزُ شَهَادَةَ النِّسَاءِ عَلَى الطَّلَاقِ وَلَا عَلَى الْحُدُودِ»
Ibrahim Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) did not consider the testimony of women permissible in cases of divorce and hudud (legal punishments).
Hadith 2055
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ «أَنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يُجِيزُ شَهَادَةَ النِّسَاءِ عَلَى الْحُدُودِ، وَالطَّلَاقُ مِنْ أَشَدِّ الْحُدُودِ»
Ibrahim Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "The testimony of women is not permissible in hudud (prescribed punishments), and divorce is also the strictest of the hudud."
Hadith 2056
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، «أَنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يُجِيزُ شَهَادَةَ النِّسَاءِ عَلَى الطَّلَاقِ»
Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "The testimony of women regarding divorce is not permissible."
Hadith 2057
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا عَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ شَهَادَةِ، رَجُلٍ وَامْرَأَتَيْنِ عَلَى الطَّلَاقِ، قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ: «لَوْ شَهِدَ تَمِيمُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ وَكَذَا وَكَذَا امْرَأَةً عَلَى الطَّلَاقِ لَمْ يَجُزْ ذَلِكَ»
It is narrated from Ibrahim Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) that he said: "If Tamim bin Salamah and such-and-such women testify to a divorce, it will not be permissible."
Hadith 2058
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا زَكَرِيَّا، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ: «لَا تَجُوزُ شَهَادَةُ النِّسَاءِ عَلَى الْحُدُودِ»
Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Women's testimony is not permissible in hudud (prescribed punishments)."
