Hadith 1503
أنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ: نا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: " كَانُوا يَكْتُبُونَ فِي صَدْرِ وَصَايَاهُمْ: هَذَا مَا أَوْصَى بِهِ فُلَانُ بْنُ فُلَانٍ، أَوْصَى أَنَّهُ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ، وَأَنَّ السَّاعَةَ آتِيَةٌ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهَا، وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ يَبْعَثُ مَنْ فِي الْقُبُورِ، وَأَوْصَى مَنْ تَرَكَ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ أَنْ يَتَّقُوا اللَّهَ، وَيُصْلِحُوا ذَاتَ بَيْنِهِمْ، وَيُطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ إِنْ كَانُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ، وَأَوْصَاهُمْ بِمَا أَوْصَى بِهِ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بَنِيهِ وَيَعْقُوبُ {يَا بَنِيَّ إِنَّ اللَّهَ اصْطَفَى لَكُمُ الدِّينَ فَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ} [البقرة: 132]
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "People used to write at the beginning of their wills: This is the will of so-and-so, son of so-and-so, who bears witness that there is no deity except Allah, He is alone, He has no partner, and Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is His servant and Messenger, and that the Hour will certainly come, there is no doubt about it, and Allah will resurrect those who are in the graves. He would enjoin his family to fear Allah, to reconcile among themselves, to obey Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), and would remind them of the will of Ibrahim and Yaqub, peace be upon them «يَا بَنِيَّ إِنَّ اللَّهَ اصْطَفَىٰ لَكُمُ الدِّينَ فَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ»."
Hadith 1504
سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: قَالَ: أنا سَيَّارٌ أَبُو الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، قَالَ: أَوْصَى الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ خُثَيْمٍ: «هَذَا مَا أَوْصَى بِهِ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ خُثَيْمٍ وَأَشْهَدَ اللَّهَ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ وَكَفَى بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدًا وَجَازِيًا لِعِبَادِهِ الصَّالِحِينَ وَمُثِيبًا، أَنِّي رَضِيتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا، وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَبِيًّا. وَرَضِيتُ لِنَفْسِي وَمَنْ أَطَاعَنِي أَنْ يَعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ فِي الْعَابِدِينَ، وَيَحْمَدُوهُ فِي الْحَامِدِينَ، وَيَنْصَحُوا لِجَمَاعَةِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ»
Rabi’ bin Khuthaym, may Allah have mercy on him, made a bequest: “I call Allah to witness, and Allah is sufficient as a witness, that I accept Allah as my Lord, Islam as my religion, and Muhammad (peace be upon him) as my Prophet. And I desire to be among those who obey me from among the worshippers of Allah, to be among those who give thanks to Allah, and to be among the well-wishers of the community of Muslims.”
Hadith 1505
سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ قَالَ: أَمْلَى عَلَيَّ أَبُو بِشْرٍ وَصِيَّتَهُ فَقَالَ: اكْتُبْ: «هَذَا مَا أَوْصَى بِهِ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ إِيَاسٍ، أَوْصَى أَنَّهُ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ , وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ، وَأَنَّ السَّاعَةَ آتِيَةٌ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهَا، وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ يَبْعَثُ مَنْ فِي الْقُبُورِ، إِنِّي رَضِيتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا، وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَبِيًّا، عَلَى ذَلِكَ أَحْيَا، وَعَلَيْهِ أَمُوتُ، وَعَلَيْهِ أُبْعَثُ، وَأَوْصَى أَهْلَهُ وَمَنْ تَرَكَ بَعْدَهُ أَنْ تَتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ»
Ja'far bin Iyas, may Allah have mercy on him, wrote in his will: "I bear witness that there is no deity except Allah and that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is Allah's servant and Messenger. The Day of Judgment is coming, there is no doubt about it, and Allah will resurrect (people) from the graves. I accept Allah as my Lord, Islam as my religion, and Muhammad (peace be upon him) as my Prophet. Upon this I will live, upon this I will die, and upon this I will be raised. And I advise my family to fear Allah and to hold fast to Islam at the time of death."
Hadith 1506
سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: قَالَ سَمِعْتُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ مِنْ صِلَةَ بْنِ زُفَرَ مُنْذُ سَبْعِينَ سَنَةً قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَلَى فَرَسٍ أَوْ بِرْذَوْنٍ أَبْلَقَ فَقَالَ: أَتَأْمُرُنِي أَنْ أَشْتَرِيَ هَذَا؟ قَالَ: وَمَا شَأْنُهُ؟ قَالَ رَجُلٌ أَوْصَى إِلَيَّ وَهُوَ مِنْ تَرِكَتِهِ، وَقَدْ أَخْرَجْتُهُ إِلَى السُّوقِ فَقَامَ عَلَيَّ الثَّمَنُ فَقَالَ: «لَا تَشْتَرِ مِنْ تَرِكَتِهِ شَيْئًا، وَلَا تَسْتَسْلِفْ مِنْهُ»
Abu Ishaq (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated, he said: "I heard this hadith from Sila bin Zufar (may Allah have mercy on him) seventy years ago, he said: A man came to Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) on a horse or a piebald horse and said: Do you command me to buy this? He said: What is the matter with it? He said: A man made a bequest to me and this is from his inheritance, and I took it to the market and its price was established for me." Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Whoever takes something of a deceased person to the market because he is the executor, he should neither buy it himself nor take a loan from it."
