بَابُ الْعَصَبَةِ إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُهُمْ أَدْنَى

Hadith 1309
سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: قَالَ عُمَرُ: «إِذَا كَانَتِ الْعَصَبَةُ مِنْ نَحْوٍ وَاحِدٍ أَحَدُهُمْ أَقْرَبُ بِأُمٍّ، فَأَعْطُوهُ الْمَالَ أَجْمَعَ»
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "When the 'Asabah (male agnates) are from the same side and one of them is closer through the mother, then give the wealth to him."
Hadith 1310
سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ: نا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ، قَالَ: قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا كِتَابُ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ: «إِذَا كَانَ الْعَصَبَةُ بَعْضُهُمْ أَدْنَى بِأُمٍّ فَادْفَعُوا إِلَيْهِ الْمَالَ كُلَّهُ»
Shaqiq (may Allah have mercy on him) said: A letter from Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) came to us stating: "When among the 'Asabah there is someone who is closer through the mother, then give the wealth to him."
Hadith 1311
سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ: نا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ: «إِذَا كَانَ الْعَصَبَةُ أَحَدُهُمْ أَدْنَى بِأُمٍّ فَأَعْطُوهُ الْمَالَ كُلَّهُ»
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "When among the 'Asabah (paternal relatives entitled to inheritance) there is one who is closer through the mother, then give the wealth to him."
