Verse (13) His saying, Exalted is He: {And the thunder exalts [Allah] with praise of Him—and the angels [as well] from fear of Him—and He sends thunderbolts and strikes therewith whom He wills; yet they dispute about Allah, and He is severe in assault}

Muhammad bin Ali (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Lightning strikes both Muslims and non-Muslims, but it does not strike the one who remembers Allah.

Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Whoever hears the sound of thunder and says: "Subhanalladhi yusabbihur-ra‘du bihamdihi wal-mala’ikatu min kheefatihi wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer," if he is struck by lightning, I guarantee his blood money.
