الْآيَةُ (120) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَكُلا نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ أَنْبَاءِ الرُّسُلِ مَا نُثَبِّتُ بِهِ فُؤَادَكَ وَجَاءَكَ فِي هَذِهِ الْحَقُّ وَمَوْعِظَةٌ وَذِكْرَى لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ}
Verse (120) His saying, Exalted is He: {And each [story] We relate to you from the news of the messengers is that by which We make firm your heart. And there has come to you, in this, the truth and an instruction and a reminder for the believers}

Hadith 1108
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو - رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَلْعَنْبَرٍ - قَالَ: خَطَبَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَرَأَ هُودًا، فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ: { وَجَاءَكَ فِي هَذِهِ الْحَقُّ } - قَالَ: فِي هَذِهِ السُّورَةِ .
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) delivered a sermon and recited Surah Hud. When he reached this verse: "And the truth has come to you in this [Surah]" he said: What is meant is that the truth has come to you in this very Surah.
Hadith 1109
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْأَبَحُّ، قَالَ: نَا يَزِيدُ الرَّقَاشِيُّ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: قَالَ لَهُ أَصْحَابُهُ: أَسْرَعَ إِلَيْكَ الشَّيْبُ ! قَالَ: شَيَّبَتْنِي هُودٌ وَأَخَوَاتُهَا مِنَ الْمُفَصَّلِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the companions said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): O Messenger of Allah! Your hair has turned white quickly! He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Surah Hud and similar surahs from among the detailed surahs have made me old.
Hadith 1110
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، قَالَ: نَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَا شَيَّبَكَ ؟ قَالَ: شَيَّبَتْنِي هُودٌ، وَالْوَاقِعَةُ، وَالْمُرْسَلَاتُ، وَعَمَّ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ، وَإِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ .
Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! What has made you old? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: Surah Hud, Al-Waqi'ah, Al-Mursalat, 'Amma Yatasa'aloon, and Surah Idha ash-Shamsu Kuwwirat have made me old.
