Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) regarding the statement of Allah the Exalted: “And they will not cease to differ * except whom your Lord has given mercy” — that is, they will always continue to differ, except for those upon whom your Lord has shown mercy — and regarding “And for that He created them,” said: Allah the Exalted created them for mercy.
