الْآيَةُ (58) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {قُلْ بِفَضْلِ اللهِ وَبِرَحْمَتِهِ فَبِذَلِكَ فَلْيَفْرَحُوا هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ}
Verse (58) His saying, Exalted is He: {Say, "In the bounty of Allah and in His mercy—in that let them rejoice; it is better than what they accumulate"}

Hadith 1062
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، قَالَ: نَا الْأَجْلَحُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَقْرَأَ عَلَيْكَ الْقُرْآنَ ! قَالَ: قُلْتُ: سَمَّانِي لَكَ رَبِّي ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، فَتَلَا: { قُلْ بِفَضْلِ اللهِ وَبِرَحْمَتِهِ فَبِذَلِكَ فَلْتَفْرَحُوا هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ } . قَالَ: بِكِتَابِ اللهِ وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ خَيْرٌ مِمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ .
Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: I have been commanded to recite the Qur'an to you! I asked: Did my Lord mention my name to you? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes, then he recited this verse: "Say: In the bounty of Allah and in His mercy—in that let them rejoice; it is better than what they accumulate." That is, say: Rejoice in Allah's bounty and His mercy; it is better than what they accumulate. And he said: Allah's Book and Islam are better than all that they accumulate.
Hadith 1063
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ: { قُلْ بِفَضْلِ اللهِ وَبِرَحْمَتِهِ فَبِذَلِكَ فَلْيَفْرَحُوا هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ } - قَالَ: بِكِتَابِ اللهِ وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ خَيْرٌ مِمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ .
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said regarding Allah the Exalted’s statement: “Say: In the bounty of Allah and in His mercy, in that let them rejoice; it is better than what they accumulate” — that Allah’s Book and Islam are better than what people accumulate.
Hadith 1064
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ: نَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَأَةَ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ: { بِفَضْلِ اللهِ وَبِرَحْمَتِهِ } إِذْ جَعَلَهُمْ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said: «بِفَضْلِ اللَّهِ وَبِرَحْمَتِهِ» That is, with Allah's grace and His mercy, meaning when Allah the Exalted included them among His own people.
Hadith 1065
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ جُوَيْبِرٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، قَالَ: { بِفَضْلِ اللهِ } الْقُرْآنُ، { وَبِرَحْمَتِهِ } الْإِسْلَامُ .
Dhahhak (may Allah have mercy on him) said: «بِفَضْلِ اللَّهِ» that is, by the grace of Allah, meaning the Qur'an, «وَبِرَحْمَتِهِ» and by His mercy, meaning Islam.
