الْآيَةُ (16) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {قُلْ لَوْ شَاءَ اللهُ مَا تَلَوْتُهُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلا أَدْرَاكُمْ بِهِ}
Verse (16) His saying, Exalted is He: {Say, "If Allah had willed, I would not have recited it to you, nor would He have made it known to you"}

Hadith 1056
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: نَا حَنْظَلَةُ السَّدُوسِيُّ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ (قُلْ لَوْ شَاءَ اللهُ مَا تَلَوْتُهُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَا أَنْذَرْتُكُمْ بِهِ) .
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to recite this verse as: «قُلْ لَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مَا تَلَوْتُهُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَا أَنْذَرْتُكُمْ بِهِ» That is, say: If Allah had willed, I would not have recited it to you, nor would I have warned you through it.
