الْآيَةُ (127) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِذَا مَا أُنْـزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ نَظَرَ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ هَلْ يَرَاكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفُوا صَرَفَ اللهُ قُلُوبَهُمْ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لا يَفْقَهُونَ}

Verse (127) His saying, Exalted is He: {And whenever a surah is revealed, they look at each other, [saying], "Does anyone see you?" and then they dismiss themselves. Allah has dismissed their hearts because they are a people who do not understand}

Hadith 1052
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ صُبَيْحٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: لَا تَقُولُوا انْصَرَفْنَا ؛ فَإِنَّ قَوْمًا انْصَرَفُوا صَرَفَ اللهُ قُلُوبَهُمْ، وَلَكِنْ قُولُوا: قَدْ قَضَيْنَا الصَّلَاةَ .
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Do not say in these words, "We have returned from the prayer," because a people turned back so Allah the Exalted turned their hearts away. Rather, say: "We have performed the prayer."
