الْآيَةُ (36) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّ عِدَّةَ الشُّهُورِ عِنْدَ اللهِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا فِي كِتَابِ اللهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ مِنْهَا أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ} الْآيَةَ
Verse (36) His saying, Exalted is He: {Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve months in the register of Allah from the day He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred} the verse

Hadith 1014
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْكَلْبِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: { مِنْهَا أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ } - قَالَ: الْمُحَرَّمُ، وَرَجَبٌ، وَذُو الْقِعْدَةِ، وَذُو الْحِجَّةِ .
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said regarding the statement of Allah the Exalted: "Of these, four are sacred": By this are meant the months of Muharram, Rajab, Dhu al-Qa'dah, and Dhu al-Hijjah.
