الْآيَةُ (27) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لا تَخُونُوا اللهَ وَالرَّسُولَ وَتَخُونُوا أَمَانَاتِكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ}
Verse (27) His saying, Exalted is He: {O you who have believed, do not betray Allah and the Messenger or betray your trusts while you know [the consequence]}

Hadith 987
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ يَقُولُ فِي مَسْجِدِ الْكُوفَةِ: نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ: { لا تَخُونُوا اللهَ وَالرَّسُولَ } - قَالَ: سَأَلُوا أَبَا لُبَابَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْمُنْذِرِ بَنُو قُرَيْظَةَ يَوْمَ قُرَيْظَةَ، مَا هَذَا الْأَمْرُ ؟ فَأَشَارَ إِلَى حَلْقِهِ يَقُولُ: الذَّبْحُ، فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ . قَالَ: قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: قَالَ أَبُو لُبَابَةَ: مَا زَالَتْ قَدَمَايَ حَتَّى عَلِمْتُ أَنِّي خُنْتُ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ .
Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah, may Allah have mercy on him, said in the mosque of Kufa: This verse ﴿Do not betray Allah and the Messenger﴾ was revealed when Banu Qurayzah asked Sayyiduna Abu Lubabah bin Abd al-Mundhir, may Allah be pleased with him, on the day of Qurayzah, "What will happen to us?" So he pointed to his throat, indicating that they would be slaughtered. Upon this, the verse was revealed. Sufyan says that Sayyiduna Abu Lubabah, may Allah be pleased with him, said: My feet had not moved from their place when I realized that I had betrayed Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, and His Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him.
Hadith 988
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا لُبَابَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْمُنْذِرِ أَوْ كَعْبَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ مِنْ تَوْبَتِي أَنْ أَنْخَلِعَ مِنْ مَالِي وَأَهْجُرَ دَارِي الَّتِي أَصَبْتُ فِيهَا الذَّنْبَ ! فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: يُجْزِئُ عَنْكَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الثُّلُثُ .
Sayyiduna Ibn Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Sayyiduna Abu Lubabah bin Abd al-Mundhir (may Allah be pleased with him) or Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! My repentance is that I separate myself from all my wealth and leave the town where I committed the sin. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is sufficient for you to leave a third of your wealth.
