الْآيَةُ (143) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلَمَّا جَاءَ مُوسَى لِمِيقَاتِنَا وَكَلَّمَهُ رَبُّهُ قَالَ رَبِّ أَرِنِي أَنْظُرْ إِلَيْكَ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ}
Verse (143) His saying, Exalted is He: {And when Moses came at Our appointed time and his Lord spoke to him, he said, "My Lord, show me [Yourself] that I may look at You"} to His saying: {And I am the first of the believers}

Hadith 960
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا خَلَفُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: يَوْمَ كَلَّمَ اللهُ مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ كَانَ عَلَيْهِ جُبَّةُ صُوفٍ وَكِسَاءُ صُوفٍ وَسَرَاوِيلُ صُوفٍ وَكُمَّةُ صُوفٍ، وَنَعْلَانِ مِنْ جِلْدِ حِمَارٍ غَيْرِ ذَكِيٍّ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The day Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, spoke to Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him), he was wearing a woolen cloak, a woolen sheet, woolen trousers, a woolen cap, and on his feet were shoes made from the untanned hide of a donkey.
Hadith 961
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ: نَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ الْعُمَرِيُّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ كَعْبٍ الْقُرَظِيَّ، قَالَ: قِيلَ لِمُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ: مَاذَا شَبَّهْتَ كَلَامَ رَبِّكَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِمَّا خَلَقَ ؟ قَالَ: الرَّعْدُ . قَالَ عُمَرُ: قَالَ رَجُلٌ: قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ: الرَّعْدُ السَّاكِنُ .
Muhammad bin Ka'b al-Qurazi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: It was asked of our master Musa (peace be upon him), "Among the creatures, what did you find Allah the Exalted's speech to be similar to?" He replied: "To thunder." 'Umar bin Hamzah al-'Umari said: A man said: Muhammad bin Ka'b al-Qurazi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "To silent thunder."
Hadith 962
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: نَا مُغِيرَةُ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الرَّبِيعَ بْنَ خُثَيْمٍ يَقْرَأُ { جَعَلَهُ دَكَّاءَ } مَمْدُودًا .
Shu'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I heard Rabi' bin Khuthaym (may Allah have mercy on him) reciting ﴿جَعَلَهُ دَكَّاءَ﴾ with a long madd (prolongation).
