الْآيَةُ (31) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا بَنِي آدَمَ خُذُوا زِينَتَكُمْ عِنْدَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍ وَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا وَلا تُسْرِفُوا إِنَّهُ لا يُحِبُّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ}
Verse (31) His saying, Exalted is He: {O children of Adam, take your adornment at every masjid and eat and drink, but be not excessive. Indeed, He likes not those who commit excess}

Hadith 946
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: { خُذُوا زِينَتَكُمْ عِنْدَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍ } - قَالَ: كَانُوا يَطُوفُونَ بِالْبَيْتِ عُرَاةً، فَأُمِرُوا أَنْ يَلْبَسُوا ثِيَابَهُمْ .
Ibrahim Nakha'i, may Allah have mercy on him, regarding the statement of Allah the Exalted: ﴿Take your adornment at every masjid﴾, said: People used to perform tawaf around the House of Allah naked, then they were commanded to perform tawaf wearing their clothes.
Hadith 947
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: { خُذُوا زِينَتَكُمْ عِنْدَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍ } - قَالَ: الثِّيَابُ .
Tawoos (may Allah have mercy on him) said regarding the statement of Allah the Exalted: ﴿Take your adornment at every masjid﴾, that what is meant by this is clothing.
