الْآيَةُ (30) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَرِيقًا هَدَى وَفَرِيقًا حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الضَّلالَةُ إِنَّهُمُ اتَّخَذُوا الشَّيَاطِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِنْ دُونِ اللهِ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ مُهْتَدُونَ}
Verse (30) His saying, Exalted is He: {A group [of you] He guided, and a group deserved [to be in] error. Indeed, they had taken the devils as allies instead of Allah while they thought that they were guided}

Hadith 945
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ مَنْ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ذَكَرَ الْقَدَرِيَّةَ فَقَالَ: قَاتَلَهُمُ اللهُ ! أَلَيْسَ قَدْ قَالَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: { كَمَا بَدَأَكُمْ تَعُودُونَ * فَرِيقًا هَدَى وَفَرِيقًا حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الضَّلالَةُ } . ؟
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), while mentioning the Qadariyyah, that is, the deniers of predestination, said: May Allah Almighty fight them! Does Allah Almighty not say: ﴿كَمَا بَدَأَكُمْ تَعُودُونَ * فَرِيقًا هَدَى وَفَرِيقًا حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الضَّلَالَةُ﴾ meaning, "Just as He originated you, so shall you return; a group was guided and a group was destined to go astray."
