Hadith 891
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: { فَالِقُ الْحَبِّ وَالنَّوَى } - قَالَ: الشَّقُّ الَّذِي يَكُونُ فِي النَّوَاةِ وَالْحِنْطَةِ .
Abu Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) said regarding the statement of Allah, the Exalted: ﴿FĀLIQ AL-ḤABBI WA-AL-NAWĀ﴾: What is meant by this is the split, that is, the fissure which appears in the grain and the stone (seed).
