الْآيَةُ (75) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَكَذَلِكَ نُرِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَلَكُوتَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَلِيَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُوقِنِينَ}
Verse (75): His (Allah's) saying: {Thus did We show Abraham the kingdom of the heavens and the earth that he might be of those possessing certainty.}

Hadith 883
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ ظُهَيْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي السُّدِّيُّ - وَهُوَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ - فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: { وَكَذَلِكَ نُرِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَلَكُوتَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ } قَالَ: قَامَ عَلَى صَخْرَةٍ، فَفُرِّجَتْ لَهُ السَّمَاوَاتُ السَّبْعُ حَتَّى نَظَرَ إِلَى الْعَرْشِ وَإِلَى مَنْزِلِهِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ، ثُمَّ فُرِّجَتْ لَهُ الْأَرَضُونَ السَّبْعُ حَتَّى نَظَرَ إِلَى الصَّخْرَةِ الَّتِي عَلَيْهَا الْأَرَضُونَ، فَذَلِكَ قَوْلُهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: { وَآتَيْنَاهُ أَجْرَهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا } .
As-Suddi, may Allah have mercy on him, who is Isma'il bin 'Abd al-Rahman, regarding the statement of Allah the Exalted: "And thus We showed Abraham the kingdom of the heavens and the earth" , says: Our master Ibrahim (Abraham), peace be upon him, stood on a rock, and the seven heavens were opened for him until he saw the Throne and his place in Paradise. Then the seven earths were also opened for him until he saw the very rock upon which the earths are established. This is the meaning of Allah the Exalted's statement: "And We gave him his reward in this world" , that is, We granted him his reward in this world.
Hadith 884
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ ظُهَيْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ الْفَارِسِيِّ، قَالَ: لَمَّا أُرِيَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ مَلَكُوتَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ رَأَى رَجُلًا عَلَى فَاحِشَةٍ، فَدَعَا عَلَيْهِ فَهَلَكَ، ثُمَّ رَأَى آخَرَ عَلَى فَاحِشَةٍ فَدَعَا عَلَيْهِ فَهَلَكَ، ثُمَّ رَأَى آخَرَ عَلَى فَاحِشَةٍ فَدَعَا عَلَيْهِ فَهَلَكَ، فَأَوْحَى اللهُ إِلَيْهِ: يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ، مَهْلًا ؛ فَإِنَّكَ رَجُلٌ مُسْتَجَابٌ لَكَ، وَإِنِّي مِنْ عَبْدِي عَلَى ثَلَاثِ خِصَالٍ: إِمَّا أَنْ يَتُوبَ قَبْلَ الْمَوْتِ فَأَتُوبُ عَلَيْهِ، وَإِمَّا أَنْ أُخْرِجَ مِنْ صُلْبِهِ ذُرِّيَّةً يَذْكُرُونِي، وَإِمَّا أَنْ يَتَوَلَّى فَجَهَنَّمُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ .
Sayyiduna Salman al-Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him) was shown the dominion of the heavens and the earth, he saw a man committing obscenity, so he invoked a curse upon him and he was destroyed. Then he saw another committing obscenity, so he invoked a curse upon him and he too was destroyed. Then he saw a third and invoked a curse upon him, and he was destroyed as well. So Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, revealed to him: O Ibrahim! Stop, for you are a person whose supplication is accepted, and I deal with My servant in three ways: either he repents before death and I accept his repentance, or I bring forth from his progeny those who remember Me, or if he dies upon disbelief, then Hell is behind him.
