قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَا أُنْـزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَبِّكَ وَإِنْ لَمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُ وَاللهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ إِنَّ اللهَ لا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْكَافِرِينَ} .
His (Allah's) saying: {O Messenger, announce that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, and if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. And Allah will protect you from the people. Indeed, Allah does not guide the disbelieving people}

Hadith 768
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْإِيَادِيُّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ إِيَاسٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا، قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُحْرَسُ، فَنَزَلَتْ: { يَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَا أُنْـزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَبِّكَ وَإِنْ لَمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُ وَاللهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ } فَأَخْرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الْقُبَّةِ فَقَالَ: أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، انْصَرِفُوا، فَقَدْ عَصَمَنِي اللهُ مِنَ النَّاسِ .
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to be guarded, then the verse ﴿وَاللَّهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ﴾ was revealed, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O people! Go away, now Allah will protect me.
