قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {أَفَحُكْمَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ يَبْغُونَ وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ اللهِ حُكْمًا لِقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ} .
His (Allah's) saying: {Is it the judgment of [the time of] ignorance they seek? But who is better than Allah in judgment for a people who are certain [in faith]}

Hadith 764
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، قَالَ: نَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُفَضِّلُ بَعْضَ وَلَدِهِ عَلَى بَعْضٍ، فَقَرَأَ: { أَفَحُكْمَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ يَبْغُونَ } .
A man asked Tawus (may Allah have mercy on him) about a person who gives preference to some of his children over others; what is the ruling regarding this? Tawus (may Allah have mercy on him) then recited this verse: "Do they seek the judgment of ignorance?"
