Sunan Sa'id

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَأَغْرَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ الْعَدَاوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَاءَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ} .
His (Allah's) saying: {So We instilled among them animosity and hatred until the Day of Resurrection}

Hadith 721
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، قَالَ: نَا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: نَا الْعَوَّامُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ النَّخَعِيِّ، فِي قَوْلِهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى: { فَأَغْرَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ الْعَدَاوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَاءَ } قَالَ: فَمَا أَرَى الْإِغْرَاءَ فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ إِلَّا الْأَهْوَاءَ الْمُفْتَرِقَةَ وَالْبَغْضَاءَ .
Ibrahim Nakha'i, may Allah have mercy on him, regarding the statement of Allah the Exalted: ﴿فَأَغْرَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ الْعَدَاوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَاءَ﴾, said: In this verse, I understand «إِغْرَاء» to mean nothing but various misguided sects and mutual hatred and enmity.
Hadith 722
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، قَالَ: نَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، قَالَ: نَا الْعَوَّامُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ النَّخَعِيَّ يَقُولُ: أَغْرَى بَعْضُهُمْ بِبَعْضٍ فِي الْجِدَالِ فِي الدِّينِ .
Ibrahim Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, caused some of them to dispute with others in matters of religion.
Hadith 723
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، قَالَ: نَا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: نَا الْعَوَّامُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ، قَالَ: الْخُصُومَاتُ فِي الدِّينِ تُبْطِلُ الْأَعْمَالَ .
Abu Iyas (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Disputes about religion destroy deeds.
