قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلَنْ تَسْتَطِيعُوا أَنْ تَعْدِلُوا بَيْنَ النِّسَاءِ وَلَوْ حَرَصْتُمْ فَلا تَمِيلُوا كُلَّ الْمَيْلِ فَتَذَرُوهَا كَالْمُعَلَّقَةِ} .
His (Allah's) saying: {And you will never be able to be equal [in feeling] between wives, even if you should strive [to do so]. So do not incline completely [toward one] and leave another hanging}

Hadith 703
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ عَبِيدَةَ عَنْ قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: { وَلَنْ تَسْتَطِيعُوا أَنْ تَعْدِلُوا بَيْنَ النِّسَاءِ وَلَوْ حَرَصْتُمْ } قَالَ: فَأَوْمَى بِيَدِهِ إِلَى صَدْرِهِ فَقَالَ: فِي الْحُبِّ وَالْمُجَامَعَةِ .
It was asked from Ubaidah Salmani (may Allah have mercy on him) about the blessed verse: ﴿And you will never be able to be equal [in feeling] between wives, even if you should strive [to do so]﴾, so he pointed towards his chest and said: In the matter of love and intercourse.
