قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَابْتَلُوا الْيَتَامَى حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغُوا النِّكَاحَ فَإِنْ آنَسْتُمْ مِنْهُمْ رُشْدًا فَادْفَعُوا إِلَيْهِمْ أَمْوَالَهُمْ}
His (Allah's) saying: {Test the orphans until they reach marriageable age; then if you perceive in them sound judgment, release their property to them}

Hadith 563
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ: لَا يُدْفَعُ إِلَى الْيَتِيمِ مَالُهُ وَإِنْ شَمِطَ، حَتَّى يُؤْنِسَ مِنْهُ رُشْدًا ؟؟ .
Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) says: The orphan should not be given his wealth, even if his hair turns white, until a sign of guidance is seen in him.
Hadith 564
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ: إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيُشْمَطُ، وَمَا يُؤْنَسُ مِنْهُ رُشْدٌ .
Shu'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Sometimes a man becomes old, but there is no sign of maturity in him.
Hadith 565
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: { فَإِنْ آنَسْتُمْ مِنْهُمْ رُشْدًا } قَالَ: الْعَقْلُ .
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said about the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic: “If then you find in them sound judgment (rushd)...” — it means intellect.
