Sunan Sa'id

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَشَاوِرْهُمْ فِي الأَمْرِ}
His saying, Exalted is He: {So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult them in the matter.}

Hadith 534
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شُبْرُمَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ - فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: { وَشَاوِرْهُمْ فِي الأَمْرِ } قَالَ: قَدْ عَلِمَ اللهُ أَنَّهُ مَا بِهِ إِلَيْهِمْ مِنْ حَاجَةٍ، وَلَكِنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَسْتَنَّ بِهِ مَنْ بَعْدَهُ .
Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) said regarding the statement of Allah the Exalted: ﴿And consult them in the matter﴾: Allah the Exalted knew that these noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) had no need of it, but Allah the Exalted wanted to establish a Sunnah through it for those who would come after.
Hadith 535
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّهُ قَرَأَ: (وَشَاوِرْهُمْ فِي بَعْضِ الْأَمْرِ) .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) used to recite: "And consult them in some matters."
