قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {مَثَلُ مَا يُنْفِقُونَ فِي هَذِهِ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا كَمَثَلِ رِيحٍ فِيهَا صِرٌّ أَصَابَتْ حَرْثَ قَوْمٍ ظَلَمُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ فَأَهْلَكَتْهُ}
His saying, Exalted is He: {The example of what they spend in this worldly life is like that of a wind containing frost which strikes the harvest of a people who have wronged themselves and destroys it.}

Hadith 522
َّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا خَلَفُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي حُمَيْدٍ الرُّؤَاسِيِّ، عَنْ عَنْتَرَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ - فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: { رِيحٍ فِيهَا صِرٌّ } - قَالَ: بَرْدٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The meaning of Allah the Exalted’s statement ﴿رِيحٍ فِيهَا صِرٌّ﴾ is: a cold wind.
