] قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {لَنْ تَنَالُوا الْبِرَّ حَتَّى تُنْفِقُوا مِمَّا تُحِبُّونَ}
His saying, Exalted is He: {Never will you attain the good [reward] until you spend [in the way of Allah] from that which you love.}

Hadith 507
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، قَالَ: لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ: { لَنْ تَنَالُوا الْبِرَّ حَتَّى تُنْفِقُوا مِمَّا تُحِبُّونَ } جَاءَ زَيْدُ بْنُ حَارِثَةَ بِفَرَسٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ: سَبَلٌ ؟؟، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، هَذَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: قَدْ قَبِلَهَا اللهُ مِنْكَ .
When this verse was revealed: "You will never attain righteousness until you spend from that which you love" (__QUR_N__), Sayyiduna Zayd bin Harithah (may Allah be pleased with him) brought a horse called "Sabl" and said: O Messenger of Allah! This is for the sake of Allah. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah has accepted it from you.
